Quite a list, all we need now is a Ford and a Chevy. Anybody got a cool 65 Bronco or 76 Blazer. Or even better a sweet International Scout.

So what night is the show and shine going to be, I know Jimbo will have that black Tundra all shined up and would be disappionted if there wasn't one. My truck on the other hand will probably be covered with corn cob blasting dust and splattered with a months worth of gunk and dead insects. We all know James loves his shiny chrome grill and I hear he had his expedition rack triple chrome plated for the ladies. Plus all his gear will be color matched again, probably all polished chrome. Just another Fredricksburg area mallcrawler.:p

Even Chris's Mini will be a more testosterone filled ride. :REExeSquatsHL1:

What a pleasant surprise... At fist I knew this was in August. Then for some reason I convinced myself it was in September. Don't ask  Now I realise from anther thread that it is in fact August! :victory:

Its just around the corner and I don't have as long as a wait. Sweet. Now I just have to adjust my leave at work. Shouldn't be a problem. See you guys in 19 days.

Attention First Year Mon Attendees!

As a public service to first time MON attendees I would like to post an unspoken tradition of the Mon trips so that no embarrassment takes place.

As James (jim65wagon) and Chris (cshontz) are founding fathers of the Expo East Mon trips, it has become a tradition to supplicate them both with offerings. Offerings that are deemed appropriate are those of the homemade pastry, pie and cake varieties, though cobbles, crumbles, turnovers, muffins and cheesecakes are acceptable also.

As both Jim and Chris are humble men and embarrass easily, it is best to offer your tribute to either Al (Big Al) or Mark (Haggis) to transfer said offerings unto our founders. Of course Al and I will have to taste test the supplications to insure that they are fit for our august duo. Thank you for your time and remember that stawberry rhubarb, lemon and mixed berry pies are my....err...I mean...Jim and Chris' favorite pies.

Appreciated, but not necessary. Getting to hang with ExPo'ers is reward enough. Though if you must, may I recommend a variety of wine to be enjoyed by all?

Mon veterans....

How accessible is say..... a shower.... I like to rough it with the best of them, but first impressions (or aroma) leaves lasting impressions. :jump:

Hoar baths only go so far.

Ice is another issue. I will need to refurbish by day two.

Thanks,

Is a dualsport bike acceptable transport to the shindig? I just don't see my 60 getting it's new springs done by then... the mechanic (me), has lost time and motivation to finish.

Our usual campsite has natural bathing opportunities that can be used to "freshen up" at the very least. Though please use your best judgment here, and keep it family-friendly. Hopefully this thread won't go off on a tangent.

Ice?!? LOL! Priorities, man. Where has your mod money been going? This is ExPo afterall. ;) jk - There's nothing wrong with ice. /snicker - The local grocer should have some only a short drive away.

Please, please, please, disregard the above announcements. Tribute is a centuries old practice, and a tradition that should never be taken lightly. As a founding father I believe it well within my rights to contradict my co-founder and say that; while hanging with my expo peeps is quite a reward (as long as they've been able to shower), any offering of the homemade variety (or offerings of wine for that matter) shall not be turned away! While I try to remain humble; all tribute must pass directly to the top. Seconds, if there are any seconds will then proceed to, well, the seconds in the chain of command. Unless, of course, it is a strawberry-rhubarb pie, in which case it directly and before all others passes to my wife....

Nice try Mark!

Well, that's easy enough! Since Al needs to go out everyday for ice, you can follow him!

There are a couple pools in the stream near camp. A mile or so below camp, a sand stone feeder crosses FR18. It's clean washed with little to no gravel or dirt. Good place to rinse off.
Black Water Falls State Park is also fairly close by, you could proably park in the over flow parking and walk in to a bathhouse.
