Looks good, excited to see how they work out! You may want to add some extra bracing though to avoid vibration. Hard to tell from the pics how thick the iron is, so maybe not haha

Funny you should mention that. Just got them on an hour ago. They have no play in the vertical direction but do want to rock back and forth.

I will be replacing them with something stiffer and stronger. But it was only a $10 test and I learned that its a great way to mount them, and now I know the exact length of bar stock I will need for the next mount.

Not entirely satisfied but a worthwhile experiment.

Pics to follow a bit later.

Excellent! If they're anything as bright as my Rigids, you'll be pleasantly surprised. :) Oh also, sorry if you said it before, but what wiring setup did you go with?

They aren't wired yet. I wanted to make sure I got them mounted first. Going to wait for the wiring until I have access to a heated and well lit garage.

I was just going to use the wiring that came with them to avoid cutting them up. But after a quick look it doesn't appear to be very easy to push through the firewall.

My only worry about chopping them is that the original harness isn't working. I think its time to get out the voltmeter and check it out.

Looks good! Very clean install. Just as a detailer's tip, you may want to restore those headlights :sombrero:

yeah they are bad, I did a quick job when I got it (2 years ago). I need to go over it again, probably part of the reason why my headlights aren't bright as well!

Definitely, lots of tests show that clean vs. hazed outperform haha

Looks good but I'd pull them back a bit to give it a cleaner look. Too much pokage, but thats just me :D Let's see that beam pattern!

I tried that RainX headlight restorer.. did a quicky and saw a slight change. Wasn't punch-in-the-face great. Probably needed more finer sandpaper like a 2000+grit plus a good wet sand and some rubbing compound to get it real clean.

Get the Meguiar's Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit. Has Two levels of sandpaper, then a polish and a drill polisher attachment that will fix both issues.
