So today it begins. Took it down to the local car wash and pressure washed it. Stopped by a tire shop and they were kind enough to take that ginormous nut off and flip my lunette, which raised the front of the trailer about 4". They didnt even charge me so I gave the guy $10 because he really had to work on that thing to bust it loose and I didn't have a socket anywhere near that size at home. Got it home and with my the help of my 8 year old son scrapped all the loose paint off. Took a wire brush to all the scrapped areas and anywhere I saw rust. Took the rails off for now (my older daughters helped me with that part) not sure if I will put them back on. Primed almost the whole thing, but ran out of daylight. Painted the wheels and tongue black. I will post up pics a little later.
Had the best time with my boy, we just talked and talked the whole time. We should finish the paint tomorrow. Going to paint it to almost match my Jeep, should be close enough. It may not be the best paint job since I have an 8 year old helper, but it will be the best paint job ever as I will always cherish doing this with my son.
