Glad you got to enjoy it man..and yes...we have the same canopy...lol

Have you given any thought to setting up some kind of rain fly over the top of the tent? From what I can see a tarp that covers the whole tent with some overlap on the sides will be kind of heavy. I was thinking of attaching a tarp to the poles, then pulled out to the side.

What do you think?

The canvas on the JJ works just fine in shedding water. Mine held up without leaking to 5 continuous days of rain--thus no need for a rain fly.

Cheers,
Greg

I have thought about it just to keep it in the shade so my A/C dose not have to work so hard to cool it. I have a design in my head...just have to draw it out and see how much it woudl cost to build.

That was my other thought as well. I try to always camp in the shade but sometimes it just can't be done (looking at some beach camping up in NC).

The tent worked well in the rain but I wanted something that might let me keep all the windows open while it was raining.

I'm camping for a couple of days this weekend so I'll update this if I come up with something ...

If I can find a tarp thats light enough it would be very easy to make it work.
