Got after the fenders today... not too bad, I like how they came out, and they should help if I flop it over.

I will need to trim the bottom edge of the tubing flush with the sheet but other than that they turned out strong and light... and they cover well too!:p

Your fenders turned out very nice. What bender and die did you use to bend the square tubing? Also, it looks like you used 1" square tube but what wall thickness did you use?

Keep up the good work. I like it a lot.

I used a JD2 bender with a square die. You are correct 1" tubing with 16ga wall. Light but strong in this application. thanks for the kinds words.

I just looked pretty closely at how you have attached the fenders to the side of the trailer...
Did you happen to use some decent sized washers on the inside? I'm just thinking that if the fender gets caught on something on the trail, it might tear right off and through your sheet metal siding.
(IMO you wouldn't notice getting the trailer hung on something as much as you would your vehicle.)

It's a really nice trailer though, enjoying the progress and all the pics!

Not too worried about that for the wheeling I like to do, desert and mountains. They fenders are nice and tight, and they are backed by some decent washers. If they tear out, I will fix em :jump:
