“Cheshire Cat,” she began, rather timidly, as she did not at all know whether it would like the name: however, it grinned a little wider. “Come, it's pleased so far,” thought Alice, and she went on. “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to” said the Cat.
“I don't much care where…” said Alice.
“Then it doesn't matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“…so long as I get SOMEWHERE” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you're sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
Phil, if you end up selling the cruiser and therefore giving up your "home", I think you mentioned in this thread or the other one that is now gone, that you don't have a tent. I have a 3-man Kelty that you're welcome to if you need it. It's not super light for backpacking or anything, but I would think it would work well with a car or motorcycle. It's in perfect shape.[/qoute]
Thank you for the offer. Yes I no longer have a tent. I will keep it in mind this week and let you know. The more I can do on my own the better.
Might be a challenge since my license is still a CT one and I have no address here to switch over. Looking at the options though.
Phil,
Keep your head up man and continue to keep us up to speed. For the first time I checked out your blog...there is some good stuff in there and if read close enough one can figure out a little more about what drove you from CT.
Of course most of us don't know all your reasons...but honestly its not our life or our problems. As a community all we can do is support.
Just keep posting...and remember....no adventure in life is drama free!
I believe if you can find a UPS Store and register for a mailbox there they actually give you a physical address not a PO Box #. Its also pretty cool because since it sounds like you will be moving around a lot they will forward mail and packages for you.
It sounds like you could very well land back here in AZ after your job in Montana. Might be a good place to get this kind of stuff situated.
I'm also looking into seeing what I need to do to get my motorcycle license as I am sitting right in front of a motorcycle that will be put up for sale soon. Makes a lot of sense too given the cost of gas and also that I am alone now.
Buying a motorcycle to drive to Montana in the middle of winter. Good idea.
No place to sleep ready. No place to relax ready. No place to stay out of the elements ready. No place to keep your stuff. It gets old fast. Trying to work and travel while "homeless" with a motorcycle... difficult.
