Anyone use it yet? Kurt at Cruiseroutfitters mentioned he saw it in person in the snatch block thread a while back.
But I never read anyone actually using one.

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
I have two of the older ones, honestly I rarely if ever use them. I can think of two or three times in maybe the last 10 years... Not something I would put a lot of money into if there is a perfectly good alternative I think... I do like the ARB straps a lot though, though they seem to not last as long as some of the thicker ones... Comments?

NEw ARB Snatchblock

I have had mine on order since November.
I built up a kit with all of the new straps and such but am still waiting on this and the tree saver. Got the large bag, Recovery strap and winch extension.
As soon as I get it I will post up info.

From looking at the pictures only I like some of the design features, but even though ARB says it's good up to 1/2" cable/rope the pulley diameter looks on the small side. Cable has a minimum bend radius, anyone with one got a dimension for the pulley? Seems really unlikely that ARB would miss something that obvious.
hmmmmm...............

Increase load capacity or reduce winch loading (same thing, different end ;)), re-direct forces, and increase the margin of safety. (some of those overlap obviously) :D

Just saw this thread, and thought I would run to the garage and grab a few photos... sorry the lighting sucks, but it is a side by side comparison of the ARB, T-Max, and the Black Rat snatch blocks.

Snatch%20001.jpg

The pulley wheel on ARB is comparable to the Black Rat as seen below, however the T-max is the smallest of the three.

The over all size is about the same, but shorter in height.

The weight savings of the ARB makes it worth the money.

Thanks for posting those comparison pics Wil.

- Now, where's your garage located? (just joking!!!)

The garage is connected to my house... LOL... We have a handful of the ARB's in stock too.

Let me know if you have any questions on the snatch blocks.
