Wheels and tires aquired...

The wheels (17x8.5) are from a friend's truck who went to 22s. Same friend that picked up my axles (pic in last post).

Got these last night off of craigslist for $200. They have about 50% tread left, which is fine since I only drive this thing maybe 4k miles a year.

That's the plan. I have a friend in KS that does powdercoating, so we'll see about shipping them out there. If I don't do it now. I'll wait until it's time for new tires and do it then.

Quick question Chris. Is the rear axle from the 250 (Sterling 10.5) a direct bolt in on the van? Or are the frames different widths?

Thanks.

Not a direct bolt in.... the van frames are wider, so the spring perches need to be moved. Also, the e-brake attachments are slightly different. The important part is that the VSS sensor is the same.

Cool, easy fixes.

The VSS is good news too.

Slowly but surely collecting parts. I should be meeting with Chris (Ujoint) this week to pick up the 4" front springs I ordered. :D

I finally got my axles to my house. Here they are with the 37x12.5 BFG A/Ts mounted up on the 17x9 Pro Comp Alloys.

No... :(

I'm trying to sell the motorcycle to fund this project now. I'm thinking of taking to a shop (recomended by Chris) and having them complete the 4wd swap and all. That way I'm not cruising around in a 2wd van on 37s.

long travel 2wd wouldn't be too bad but 4x4 w/o drive shaft = lame.

then you wouldn't need that sweet front axle.
