New Mopar Fender Flares and other cool stuff

Still happy, but not without issues.

Still liking those flares?

I am.
The width over the tires, and stock-ish appearance are what I like about these flares.
.
I did run into two issues:
1). Left rear fender, inner and outer separates on the seam, where they use double face tape. Poor assembly process did not prep outer fender correctly. Replaced under warranty.
2). New replacement fender had big blotches where it appears they used a heat gun to re-bend the outer fender for better fitment. Vendor refunded cost of kit, and said to keep or dispose of them.
For now I've painted the rear fender. It doesn't match very well, and may re-order from local dealer, where warranty issues are easier to deal with.
.
Can you confirm there's no rubbing on any of your 35" tires at full flex? Call me crazy, but I'm dubious about the claim and am wondering if they mean you can fit 35" tires onto the Jeep and drive to the mall with them, but they aren't taking flex into consideration when off-roading.
.
Hi Crazy (;)) On the Rubicon, the rock sliders need to be trimmed, and the inner fender liner heated and re-bent slightly. But no body mods Front and rear are required.
The picture below is at full stuff. There is just a very light rub.

Rub is rub. ;)

I suppose a leveling kit would fix that. Interesting...will have to give it some thought. Not the flairs, but rather the 35" tires and a leveling kit. I already have Xenon flat fender flares, and I doubt those Mopar flares gives the Jeep anything I don't already get from the Xenon flares.

Thanks!

A leveling kit isn't going to help this. This is the front of the rear fender opening. If you don't have the fender liners, you will only need to trim the rock rails.
While I would trim the rock rails, I wouldn't bother with the liner. The rub is so light, and only at full compression with brand new tires. It would be a long time before it became an issue.
The Mopar lift kit with slightly longer rear control arms made it a moot point in my case.

Hoping Onetraveller will post up his thoughts.
