New Rear End

I noticed today that there is a sign of oil on the tail shaft of the transfer case. Does anyone know if this is a common occurrance when these repairs are done?

I drove around 50+ miles today, and there is no sign of sling off on the frame or under belly of the truck. So, in my opinion it looks like a one time leak during the repair. What do you think?

Yeah that's normal. When they pull the drive shaft to replace the rear end, you're going to have some ATF leak out the back of the T-case. If it's a worry to you, pull the filler plug on the T-case and add some ATF until it comes out the filler hole. I doubt it would take more than about 2oz if the shop didn't fill it.

Nothing to worry about.
