I had two sets of OE steel wheels on my gen 1. Rode fine and never had a balance problem. I would shop around for a set of the styled factory wheels.

Ya after today the wife thought we should spend the wheel money on landscaping so we can sell the house and move sooner, so looks like after today wheels are a no go but that's fine I like the style of the OE wheels I just wanted black so maybe ill look for a set to powder coat and swap tires later, but that leads me to the next thing bringing home landscaping block today I feel the need for add a leaf system so I think that may be next I plan on installing these tires this week I'll get pics of them on the truck

I know this is an old thread, but I am thinking of buying a topper for my DC that was on a AC and wanted to know if you are still happy yours. Were you able to move to the topper towards the cab at all to close the gap on the back corner of the bed and the topper. Any weather stripping or something to close the gap between the back window and the tail gate????

Yes for my truck I could slide it far enough ahead where it would close the gap at the back only issue was it was super close to the back of the cab since AC is a bit longer than DC the topper itself worked fine I never had water issues from the topper but I did have water issues after it came off the topper it would run threw tailgate cracks and I would always have a little trail of water when it rained. Being that happened it got a musty smell that i tried cleaning and that never worked plus I recently moved onto a house in the country so it would fill with gravel dust.

I ended up selling the topper the topper was a love hate relationship it was great for my hunting trips plus when I was doing some construction work abound the house I could keep everything locked up but it really limited my cargo space. I wouldn't mind a roll top cover. If you think you will like one go for it its just my needs changed. I would ask if you can put it on your truck and try it out but I think you should be ok buying one from DC to put on your AC
