NL reintroduces the 610 that will be made to fit 48" wheel wells. It has a 12V fridge to.

I like the idea. It's much smaller than anything else they make. Good choice for offroad.

I preferred the Pre-basement North lite and Bigfoot models.

Does anyone know the weight on the original version of this?

1500lbs seems on the heavy side for a half ton

after water, bodies, food, cargo it might be tough
Yep. Maybe an F150 with the Heavy Payload Payload pkg. But I think they are usually around 2,200 lbs for payload roughly.
I think the majority of ext cab s/box trucks are around 2,000 lbs payload roughly. So again, by the time you add two bodies and some water you're maxed. Personally I think if the intent is to carry a camper I'd go 1 ton. Skip 3/4 ton too since most 1 tons are the same truck anyway. So it's not like a 3/4 ton is any smaller or fuel efficient than the 1 ton equivalent of the same truck.

2014 brochure, last year of production states 1,050# dry

other years' specs here

have seen older ones mention 780#

the refurbed one in my post #6, owner stated 1,350#

Note the 610 headroom of 5' 11". The other older, non basement models also had short ceilings in the "head".

780lb didn't include any options. It was pretty much a fiberglass shell like Composite Truck Bodies, Tuffport and Space Cap.

Wrong1694106989999.gif the 2500/F250/3500F350/4500/F450 are the same. On can save thousands buying a 2500 or F250 and turn it ito a 4500/ F450 by adding air bags or springs and a sway bar1694106940556.gif

When I build identically equipped F250 / F350's there only seems to be a few grand difference in price.
So to me it seems you'd negate the savings buying the F250 by the time you upgrade springs and a sway bar.
Plus your listed payload on the door sticker would still be less than a F350.
Additionally I would think the resale would recoup the added up front cost difference, no?

Both XLT 4x4's w/ 7.3L. No additional options:

Maybe I'm missing something.
But, that's just what I'd do rather than buying a new truck then messing with it to try and make it handle the load I want to carry.
To each their own, all G.

My 08 Silverado 1500 4x4 extended cab 6.5' bed has a payload rating of 1,792lbs. The sticker in the glove box says Truck camper load information cargo weight rating 696lbs.

my northern lite 6-10 was about 750lbs and it included the normal stuff...fully build, hot water, fridge, but no toilet. it was a masterpeice of smart design and lightweight.

For northern lite to come in 2023 and propose a 1500lbs 610 make me wonder what went wrong. we have so much technology now... it should be getting lighter, not heavier.

People turning a F150/250 into a F350/450 start with a short box and no GVWR pack. It's no joke either. I was reading another post yesterday in which serval people are advising someone how to do it.

I looked at a 610 for our Tacoma. The 2011 I looked at was over 1000lbs empty and didn't have a HW tank, grey tank or toilet.
