OBD2 bluetooth readers..

More and cheaper choices for readers with Android. Would rather use Bluetooth than WiFi. Apple Bluetooth does not work reliably with some aftermarket Bluetooth devices (specifically Parrot for Bluetooth phone use in the truck, even though Parrot is supposed to work with Apple). Much wider choice of phones with Android, some less expensive than Apple products, and some more robust (i.e., waterproof) than Apple products.. iOS after 6.1.3 is a mess. Cheaper chargers and accessories for Android.

Is a certain app better than another?
Can't answer that one with any certainty. When I went looking for an OBDII reader for my iPhone 4S, I couldn't find anything I liked, so I just bought a new Edge Evolution programmer with multiparameter gauge display. There were more choices available for Android, but I don't want to change phones just for this.

and now everyone is bickering about phones haha..

I went with a cast off boost kyocera hydro running some old version of android that my girl had laying around after she upgraded, everything works so far, there are a few free apps that have what i want, of course the one app I like for how it displays the info, won't communicate with the damn bluetooth reader.. figures.. but there are more apps i haven't tried yet, so hopefully I will find one I like.... total cost involved so far, $12...
