Here is the latest shot of our AWD van conversion (bed/bath) and our Parkliner fiberglass trailer (entertaining/dinning/bath).
Together we call the pair our "Bed & Breakfast"
The little trailer was our 30th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves. No more setting up/taking down a rain or snow soaked "Insta-Room" kitchen!

Finally got off the pavement with the Astro. Explored some old logging roads out east of Enumclaw. Nothing too exciting, but got a little mud on the old man tires, and got to test the AWD a little bit for the first time. Doesn't hurt that it is absolutely beautiful. I took an offshoot onto another logging road that led me up a pretty high ridge to to the top of that particular mountain. Had it been completely clear out, there would have been stunning views of Mt. Rainier from that ridge.

This would make a good magazine ad I would like to think.

Wouldn't mind going back sometime, there were tons and tons of roads to explore out there.

Took the family to the Painted Hills near John Day this weekend. What a beautiful part of Oregon!

8 nights, 1700 miles. Phoenix to Zion, Bryce, Moab, Crested Butte, Ourey, Telluride and home. Mostly backroads. A few trails. New friends. All fun. Van and trailer worked perfect.

about 14 miles up forestry road 28 south of Mt. Rainier/Randal WA area had a picnic lunch at McCoy Creek about 18 miles up the road.

i must add, being an ex-fj40 and ex-TACO guy...driving up into nowhere and having a rest-room, kitchen, and bed along with you is well...a little slice of heaven!
