FWIW, I've got a 2002 D2 with 130K miles and a CDL conversion, I'd be open to negotiation. I haven't put it "up for sale" yet, but I'm thinking about it. The interior is worn, but the mechanicals have been maintained carefully; I've had it since 35K miles. It'd be around that price, or less.
2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II (D2)
4.0L V8
All wheel drive with locking center differential
Dual sunroofs
Power steering, power windows, power seats, power mirrors
Air conditioning (works great!)
Very comfortable ride!
"Borrego Edition" (similar to "Kalahari Edition") from Land Rover Special Vehicles - Borrego Yellow, hood blackout, Saudi grill, Safari Gard sliders, "Technical Fabric" seats
Rear ladder and D1 roof rack (fits properly, slightly shorter than D2 rack - about the size of a sheet of plywood).
No third row seats - has "cubby boxes" instead.
Towing package, plus trailer braking wiring. Tows 4000lb trailer very well.
Center locking differential (CDL) added, new transfer case, about $2500.
Factory "brush bars" on front, and rear taillight protectors.
120,000 miles, mostly highway. No accidents.
Serviced at California Autohaus (formerly California Rover) every 5000 miles. 120,000 mile service just done.
Non-smoker.
This vehicle has been driven off-road occasionally, but has not been used for "rock crawling". The center locking differential makes a lot of difference when driving through sand or slippery stuff.
Stereo works, CD changer does not work.
Rear bumper has some cracks.
Headliner is sagging in some places.
