Post your HDR pics!

I’m still finding it hard to like most HDR mages - but they're everywhere and likely to stay.
And while I’m still very much a get-it-all-in-one-shot student of photography, every once in a while, I’ll see what happens when I run a couple of pictures through the meat grinder.

So after reading through Trevor’s interesting HDR thread, I thought I’d start a thread just for these irritatingly enticing images, and see what others ExPo members are cooking up.

So post up your HDR experimentations- in all their tonemapped, in-your-face, overcooked, unabashedly haloed and freakishly ghosted glory! Everything is acceptable.

I’ll start with some of mine- done on an older (3.0) version of Photomatix.

Jumping!! Joash, you certainly had a whole lot-a baking going on there didn't ya. LOL. The saturation is craaaazy. This should be an interesting thread.

Here are a few of mine- I think they are pretty conservative though.

Just here...
Here are the only ones that Ive made. I actually liked that they turned out comic bookish.

This was my pretty modified 07 Fahrenheit Edition GLI. Loved that car.

Nice- I think vehicles lend themselves well for that overtly HDR look.

I like the wine bottles Brad.

I think Aaron's nailed the subtle approach- liked that first picture with the blue tones and shadows in the rock

Another experiment- cranked up to 11 :)

You all inspired me to try HDR. I didn't go crazy as I only had two brackets to play with. Sorry I need to start having my pictures hosted somewhere so they aren't thumbnails.

Brad-

I think these are both pretty good. The duck shot could possibly benefit from some more post process work. The wine bottles look great. For me the only issues with this shot is actually the hand and the out of focus foreground. Otherwise I like it a lot.

nice thread :)

The mushroom shot just rocks. :victory:

The other two are pretty good and the clouds are not over done too much (my biggest issue with HDR). I think if you take these back into your editing program and adjust the black points a little bit more these will be even stronger images.

Cars, bikes, and any other type of machinery really work with this style. I like all three of these. :wings:

I'm not a very big fan of HDR and I have photomatix but it didn't give results I liked. My main complaint is that the whites in HDR images look grey. I use an exposure blending method in photoshop now in stead that gives better results IMO. I also use GND filters now which I think give much better results. The first three are PS HDR
