Here are a couple pics of my new daily/family hauler. 1989 V2500 Suburban with a 350/SM465/NP241. Runs like a top and only has 125k miles. Was owned by Wake Forest University until 2016. Looking forward to some adventures with the family in it.

so after alot of thought i decided on what wheels/Tires to run. i wanted to keep it more "military" style so this is what i can up with. 17x9.5 black Rhino wheels and 35x12.5 Patriot M/T tires. still a work in progress but really happy with the wheels and tires.

Those bumpers really improve the look of your truck, not to mention the practical use you get from them. Do you have a winch installed in that unit. Looks good. Cheers, Chilli... ?

Yeah thanks! With all the crazy drivers out it’s like insurance that I have a better chance of driving away after an accident. No winch yet I was concerned about weight but it’s surprisingly not incredibly heavier than the stock setup. Maybe 60-70 lbs more? The stock one was heavier than I had imagined. Once I can afford a decent synthetic rope then I’ll figure out a winch for it.

Not a “Suburban” by name, but it’s built on the same frame. Here’s my 2016 GMC Yukon XL 5.3L 4WD - hard parking. Not much for what one would consider “Overlanding”, but it’s a heck of a road tripper; In fact formerly a rental car!

Where did you order those bumpers from? @bigdogyj

Actually picked them up local from a guy that bought them for his 2500 Sierra and never used them. They were still wrapped in a box.
I ended up swapping the front grill for one from a Sierra as well so the lines matched. The Yukon grill is a little more rounded as seen here in this photos.
