that is the same style i have been looking at for mine.

here are a couple of links to some shaves

this one is from ballistic fab on a front steer 14 bolt, (dont use ballistic fab, unbelievably terrible customer service)

all sorts of shaves from home brew to cast. whatever

edit: and it would be the ring gear not the pinion gear that would need trimmed.

I used late model spindle nut from a chevy full floating rear axle. works well so far. the stage 8 stuff is just too $$$$.

Yes they were a bit pricey at $58 each. I figured that they would be in this axle for the next 20 to 30 years so in the overall scheme of things they are worth the extra coin. The driver side nut is usually the one that comes loose due to the rotation. These Stage 8 Lock nuts keep everything exactly where they are supposed to be. Cheap insurance overall.

My son and I went to do a little bit of exploring yesterday. I showed him what ruts were and that they should be stradled if possible. He wanted to know if this rut could get our truck stuck. So I dropped the tires into the rut and drove her out. We had fun. Then went and found a nice place to run our RC Rock Crawler. Great times.

Sig makes a nice piece of hardware! Funny it's a 556, but in 7.62. Do they make it in hyper-active .22 as well?

The SigSaauer556 is in 5.56/.223 and takes standard AR/M4 mags
The SigSauer556(R) R=Russian is in 7.62x39 and uses the AK Mag
SigSauer also makes an almost identical rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This rifle uses a different mag specifically for.22LR.

If you decide to get the "R" version make sure its the latest gen. The first Gen had issues with the magazine well which screwed up feeding rounds into the chamber. The latest Gen is a one of the best rifles you can get.
