Looking good. Got any idea how to hook the chainsaw on securely? I'd love to have my saw accessible when needed but I'm afraid I'd lose it or it would take a beating back there...
Here's my start.

I like the detail you are putting into this!

I've got a couple ideas on mounting the chainsaw. But that will wait until I build the swing out. For now I am focusing on building the bumper and side protection. You guys will have to bear with my slow progress. Lack of available free time fabricating and engineering makes for a slower than normal build. Tonight I cleaned up the bumper brackets and built the recovery points.

Thanks! Ran into a bit of an issue though, despite waiting until the metal was cool to the touch the 2x4 warped on me. Tonight I hung 4000lbs from the center of the bumper and it didn't budge. Which isn't a bad thing but it didn't fix the issue. I'll have to relief cut and try it again to straighten it out. Just a setback for now.

Well at least you know it's strong enough to hold 4000lbs with ease! Positives, man.
Bumper is looking great so far! Makes me ansy to get a jump on one myself soon.

I thought you had plans to regear, you should probably just sell that to me😃.

Must have been nerve racking to trim a perfectly good bed. I had a Demello rear bumper but didn't look right without cutting the bedsides. I chickened out and sold it and still regret it.

When you have cut the firewall, trimmed 1.5" out of the fenders, front bumper, put a huge hole in the passenger fender for a snorkel and another hole in the drivers to re-locate the antenna. Bed sides are an easy trim job.
