Thanks Louis. I'm glad I'm keeping the truck too, especially since it means that I get to keep the truck and build a coiler series down the road too. :)

In your photo, what's the cylinder?

I think it's a giant softsoap dispenser. Looks like he plans on doing a lot of trail repairs and that's for getting the grease off :)

It will be used for air, just haven't got all the components yet... EE should be getting a call pretty soon... probably not until after the RTT though.

I found this web site about a year ago, great spot for ordering the bits requires to build storage; https://www.tchweb.com/cgi-bin/TCH2.storefront/4606b5af10aa337e273f0a00003605d1/UserTemplate/56

all the goodies that the bands use to make all those equipment racks, speaker enclosures and gear boxes, if it can survive a tour schedule with the roadies throwing the stuff around it can survive anywhere. Decent prices as well.

Buying from EE, got to be a less expensive option, those prices are crazy.

It's true that EE is not the cheapest place to buy from, however you get what you pay for. They offer good product advice, stock the items they sell, ship the same day you order, and stand behind their products. It is good to have the option of ordering from a place where you know everything will go smoothly.

Exactly... I order things and pay more (gladly) because I know there will be no issues, I will recieve my items very quick and in proper order.

Do your homework before you start slandering vendors.

slow down gentlemen, I have been buying expedition accessories for far more years than the internet has been around.
I didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers, I was just expressing an opinion.
Chill even, buy your stuff where ever you like, my idea was not to get someone so upset.
I'll just keep on buying where I do and you can buy where you do.

Peace.

I don't think anyone is upset, Sir.

I just believe that with the premium you pay at EE comes a quality of customer service that they offer. When I need something before a trip am I going to take a chance on some company that sells speaker equipment or from someone I know that's part of the offroading community?

But this is ExPo so thank you for giving options and opinions.

Had the new cargo drawers installed today and installed a worklamp w/ a 1w LED bulb last week. The low wattage LED bulb lets me run the worklamp as long as I want w/o even stopping to consider if it is going to kill the battery.

Roller drawers, very stout locks, bolted from the inside to the rear jumpseat attachment points on the floor, and from D-rings on the outside of the drawer to the 2nd row seat attachment points on the floor. The drawer occupies the space between the two wheel wells. The remainder is covered with plywood wings and carpeted over. These wings can be lifted and stuff can be stored in them, and gear can be placed on top of them.

On the left side, I removed my cubby and the air tank/compressor now sits under the drawer wing. I'll replumb the air hookup to be available w/o lifting the wing and I'll create an air vent of some sort so the compressor doesn't over heat. The right side will be used to store something that is infrequently used or only used in camp like the showerhead.

The fridge slide will be installed into glued in t-nuts using knob screws so the whole thing can be easily removed. I'll put tie-downs elsewhere to hold the pelican(s) and other gear down as well as secure the elastic net that I usually put across the top to hold lightweight stuff.

Dog guard will go in next week.

The tent opens over the area for shade and protection from rain. It also has a "changing room" that can be used to provide additional protection if necessary.

Craig, looks really nice. Is that the standard DII kit from TruckVault, or did you order some modifications (like around the wheel wells)?
