Review of ARB Bushranger X-Jack

The BN Guy

Expedition Leader
That's good to hear. We've already had a couple of fatal incidents in San Antonio where a jack failed and crushed the guy under his truck/car.

Which ExPo venders sell these? I would like to got one soon too for a safer lifting option over my Hi-Lift.

The X-Jack is a great alternative to the Hi-Lift. This jack you can use everywhere unlike the Hi-Lift.

I meet up with 1leglance this weekend and was able to try out the X-jack. Very impressive. I was concerned it would not be able to get the front end off the ground with all of the articulation. Well no problems here. Just for information I have a 3" Poly Performance lift with 315/75/16 Goodyear MTR tires. I did have the electronic swaybar connected. This obviously helped with limiting the articulation. Well Thanks Lance for giving me a quick show.

Nice!

There really isnt any reason why one couldnt get a wheel off the ground, Like Kurt has said in this thread, Just put it under the axle, Like a bottle jack.
Kurt has also mentioned a few times that people have used them to move a vehicle away from an obstacle, Like a tree or something, By placing it between the vehicle and the obstacle of your choice.

FWIW Im glad I have one, I have a high lift as well, But really nowhere to put it with all the family stuff for a camping trip, Perhaps on the J-Moose

If it will lift your big dog JK surely it will lift my Mall Crawler. I think I need one :)

I didn't know they had a port for a air source? I thought you just had to use the tail pipe only. Wonder how fast you can jack up your rig with C02? :hehe:

I have a Titan air jack (similar to the X-Jack) on order, and will be using my ob tank/compressor to fill it. I'll see how high it'll get my hummer (about 7500 lbs) and how fast and report back.

With a large V8 I would imagine it would fill up quickly, As you could see from my youtube video, we filled it with a 4cyl 4Runner.
OBA is certainly a nice option, But with the size of the valve I would think it would take at least as long as a 35" tire fill, But that is why you are going to test , right? :victory:
