Half model t? Lol. It real car. The very first car I ever drove I was 8 yrs old my grand pa owned it then it got passed on to the family and stored in Dallas then in 1975 we moved to anchorage ak . So it sat in Dallas for 35-38 yrs then when I was in my late 30s I move back to ft worth but continued to work on north slope. So 8-9 yrs ago I asked dad if I go get it can I have it? He said yea so I got my hands on my first driving experience. I will restore it just trying to find the time. It runs all original hope that all made sence cover a lot of time in few sentences

Very cool story! I couldn't see the drivers side and it looked like a prop or something the way it was up against the wall. :)

Looks real good artic cat. Is the diamond plate a rubber mat? I took my trailer over to get some bullit liner sprayed on it. I wanted the tounge box , behind the tounge box , the front and top of big box and top of fenders and they quoted me 2000$. So I passed on that but yours looks great

I was gonna put my water heater in that drawer and fold it up to use but after getting tent I don't want the propane fumes in the annex or under the tent so I'm back to putting it somewhere up front. Inside fake Jerry can I think

Actually they are self stick tiles. I used them before avoid scratches and they are cheap about $4 a piece. Very durable and tested them before in summer desert heat. About the rhinolined I did the spray version. I sprayed the fenders and tool box and the kichenette. I did the fenders and tool box prior to assembly. Tested before too and it work well

Hi ArcticCat,
Did you get the tiles online or locally? I wanted to cover most of the top of the main box with rubber but could not find a glue backed product around here and did not want permanent bolt on installation. I find the original paint scratches/peals off very easily - I had to do touch ups many times already.
Also - what did you use to cut the hole for propane hose?
Thanks,
Richard

Mine is almost put together, but I have a few areas I wanted to ask for your opinion on.
First. The crate that housed the trailer for transport was banged up pretty good, and subsequently there was some damage. Front tongue plate from above and beneath.

These are off course cosmetic, but anything that should be considered as the 2x2 bottom square tubing on the crate was was bent about 1.5 inches. Other damage to inspect due to that.?
Everything appears to function normal, except for one drawer, which I am certain I can figure.

The other thing is the shock u brackets to the frame. All 8 mounts are exactly 8mm too wide for the shock. Almost like they changed shocks and forgot to change the mount with. Smitty said to just tq. the bolts to the 85 ft/pounds and the brackets will pull inwards. I'm not buying that as 8mm is rather large, and you will not get a square surface to mate the shocks to. I also think you might damage the welds to the frame. I am somewhat surprised of that response, and they state, correctly, to wait to tighten them until you have weight on the axles. I think that a couple of fender washers is a much better idea to keep everything parallel.

Did any of you see this shock mount difference. Smytty states that that is how they all are. I just finds this hard to accept. Anyway, fix is easy. A trip to ace hardware, and I'm rolling. I just wanted to get your input.
