Snow Peak Addiction

Tacodoc,

What kind of discount do "they" give you for plugging "their" site? If it is significant, can I chime in and get the same discount, or if I were to outdo you, could I expect something even better?

Cheers,
Greg

"They" don't "give" me anything at all, that's just where I find the good deals and free shipping etc. I'm sure you're aware that some Snow Peak stuff is hard to get in the US and "they" seem to have pretty good stock on hand. Just passing it on to fellow addicts ;)

Additionally, Overland Gourmet supports the community by attending the Overland Rallies and Workshops, OVX, and the Rendezvous events here in SoCal and I make it apoint to support businesses that actually get involved in our community.

Tacodoc,
I have also bought from OG and from EE as well, and I have received good customer service from both. I figured with you being from Temecula, you could work some magical deals by including some Sangiovese or other varietal to sweeten the deal.

Fire place for grilling?

Anyone use the fireplace for grilling?

I,m trying to decide on the BBQ Box or get a fireplace setup with a grill.

The goal is double duty if the trade off isn't too great.

Thanks

Dear wife just informed me that she has order some new IGT goodies from Overland Gourmet for us. Now I need to work on resisting my compulsive urges to check the front porch a dozen times a day hoping that boxes of stainless goodness will be there waiting for me.

The fireplaces are a nice size and would make a good size cooking surface. That would be a killer space saving combo!

Anyone know of another stocking dealer for IGT related items? Snow Peak has a few of them on their site but are out of stock on others.

From what I have seen, Iron Grill Table gear is only stocked and promoted at a few dealers compared to the other more mainstream Snow Peak stuff. Overland Gourmet, Expedition Exchange and Equipt are the main dealers (to my knowledge) that carry an extensive selection here in the US. REI has the smallest table with a Baja Burner as a set, but they don't stock the whole range of IGT gear. I would bet that many dealers that stock any part of the Snow Peak line could do a special order for you too. However, since this is the Expedition Portal, I recommend that you support one of the sponsors of this great resource.

Cheers,

Tried that, now just looking to make an order that involves people who will actually communicate with us. Will check out Equipt next, thanks for suggesting them.

Pale horse, what do you need that Snow Peak shows out of stock? If Snow Peak USA is out of stock, I am probably out too. But you never know. What do you need?

I have one of the Snow Peak catalogs from a few years back that shows a number of things we don't get here in the US. They have a whole range of fishing equipment, for example, that they don't import here. However, if you really wanted to get it, I have seen some of it for sale on US ebay by a company in Korea. Again, as with anything else, you can probably special order their whole line if you can stomach the cost and the wait to get it.

Cheers,
Greg

Well, still no refund for the order that netted zero communication from the Snow peak dealer we heard so much about but thanks for the tips on other vendors. Once the chargeback process is completed we will go another route with one of them. Never thought something as simple as this would be so painful.

Honu, that link is very impressive and reminds me that there are highly skilled enthusiasts the world over that do so many amazing things, thanks for sharing it.
