my understanding is that the v8,when serviced right(timing belt too) should last half a mil km's.

though i wouldn't recommend you one (with 500k km) unless it were a steal.

Never apologize for liking the the 3FE !!.........despite what some say, the 91-92 FJ80s are great trucks.

+1, my '91 was one of my favorite (and most reliable) trucks ever and is still running to this day. Sure, they're not going to go 70 mph up a mountain pass, but for most other applications they are still great, if not a speed demon.
