Hey, I just noticed there is a rest area just west of the interchange.:jumping: :jumping:

That's where I will wait for you guys. I'll be there with my bag of nutserts. :D

Good call! A rest area. Perfect.

I've been running more of the area by satellite as well, and I'm not sure how I let Wil talk me out of the original plan. My spot for Camp1 looks perfect, and easy to get to. I'm gonna make his nutsert . . .

I'm not going there. My 15 year old daughter is already worried I'm going camping with guys I met on the Internet. She's worried scarey things will happen to me in the night. :pROFSheriffHL: :sport_box

I guess I can't blame her, that's the way I have trained her to deal with interaction on the Internet being a teenage girl.

Please...at least be gental. :yikes:

By the way...it's really too bad that you all have to work tomorrow. I have the day off and will be leisurely packing and slowly getting ready to head out in the late afternoon. :D

The sad thing is...I'll probably be the one looking around for stuff I forgot while those that packed at the last minute will have everything they need. Amazing how it works that way sometimes. :REOutCampFire03:

Since we're going to be working with limited light tomorrow, let's agree to fire for the nearest place to camp. If you look at Mark's F'n Map we are going to shoot for the camp labled Camp 1.

Mark says that attempting to get down to where he marked camp 2-4 is smart with so little time.

Looking at the roads from Vekol Wash to Mark's point for Camp1, it looks like a clean shot. Google Earth this point: N32 46.513 W112 10.554
A few open areas around it, and good roads leading to it. It's near where he placed CAMP1. MARK checked the web version, and you can see it pretty well. We think we should approach it from Vekol Wash, though.

But if we're feeling good once we take the wash to the first junction, I think we are all open to re-assessing our time and so forth.

I will monitor our Cell coverage, If we are starting to get out of range I will Call Seth.

Man...that name brings back tasty memories. A few of us had one incredible hunk of cow just north of the freeway on Vekol....lets see if I can drag up pictures....

Great Trip!

The Sonoran Desert NM trip was great. Beatutiful country shared with great folks. Here are couple of map images of where we went. Camped one place the first night and then moved to an outstanding upper valley for the second night's campsite.

Great pics Brad, looks like everyone had a great time, although, first it was a bike mount, now an antenna mount, maybe we should start the F'n Better Hardware fund!!

No pictures yet.... I was too busy after I got home... playing with leafsprings and fighting a bent U-bolt. Thank god for air tools, and a 60" Hi-lift!

I'll have to look at the pic's posted when I get out of this firewall (it blocks photobucket, imageshack, ect...) and I'll post mine. I am sure the picture of my ass is hillarious!

Do you remember when you bent the U-bolt? What were you doing with the leaf springs? Upgrade or fixing trail abuse?

Nope no clue as to when I bent the U-bolt. I am upgrading, and as I was removing the 3" blocks and installing new springs I discovered the bent U-bolt. I am such a redneck... the truck is on blocks in the front yard right now.... :hehe:
