swing out tire carrier ideas please

Mine holds the one can up fairly high, but you cant really go too much lower without blocking the tail-lights.

The Carrier is getting redesigned this spring, hi-lift will be getting moved to the backside of the carrier, and 2 AdventureTrailer Can holders will be mounted, one on each side, water and gas. The top rack will be rebuilt as well, slightly larger this time, shovel and axe will stay the same, but reverse lights will go flushmounted in the bumper.

Koz offroad has a nice swingout carrier that mounts gas cans just like you want. I have had their rear bumper on my Jeep since early 2004 and have had zero issues.
James will build anything you want, He added the rear side protection to my LJ bumper and left off the gas can and high lift mounts....
I thought the typical bar up the center tire mounts look better, but the Koz carrier offers alot of options. I was sold on the double shear mount, no trailer spindle issues. Mine was sandblasted and painted with real auto paint and is holding up excellent.

I built mine to hold 3 cans and the tire my jack is mounted to the roof rack.
I split the bumper so the arm would not be so long and I can open it when I have the trailer attached.

Here is one I made several years ago on my old taco. It worked very well, and held up to a fair amount of abuse. I can say for sure though, a spare tire, wheel, and two full jerry cans weighs a LOT.
