Trailer Fenders

Here you go....

I need to get fenders to provide coverage to pass PA inspection (yuck). I am running JK Stock Moab rims/tires on my M416. From the photos, it looks like these would provide that coverage, but when I measure from the side of the tub to the the very far edge of the tire, it came to just under 12". Will 10" wide fenders do the trick? I think my problem is that the fenders don't sit completely flush with the tub and I was measuring from the tub.

Rugged. Reliable. Ready.

Give Josh at Manley a cal.
His fenders are very nice and cover the whole tire.

I actually just talked to Jenn. Our blem fenders are unfortunately all sold out. All we have is our good production fenders; which we would sell but we do them in such small quantities right now that it is just too cost prohibitive to sell them as a standalone product. We'd be laughed off of Expo Portal for what we would have to charge :Wow1: We hope to stamp in much larger quantities in the future to bring the cost down to a reasonable level.

Thanks, Josh - hope I get to throw business your way in the future!

I will either try to get a local fab shop to cut mine in half or look at Fenders & More. This inexpensive M416 is my new money pit.

....I think my problem is that the fenders don't sit completely flush with the tub and I was measuring from the tub.

My problem was that the sides of the tub are slanted slightly outward towards the top. The fenders were going to be crooked if I mounted them right to the tub. I ended up mounting the fenders approx. 2" away from the tub and fabbing a Filler piece to fill the gap.

Jscherb.....they need your fenders!!

:)

These round ones are 13" wide and are commercially available from a number of sources, they seem to be cheapest at KMT Service Parts, $52.30 per pair (http://kmtparts.com/trailer-body-co...s/13x36-sgl-fender-20in-t-1in-rad-16ga-1.html).

I made these M416-style ones myself, they're also 13" wide...

I can get the M416-style ones manufactured very reasonably if there's a company or someone who wants to sell them. (I don't sell anything, I just do this as a hobby).

Rubber fender flares. Would they get you through an inspection??
thanks for this suggestion. I looked a bit online and really counldn't find anything that looked like it would work. I do wonder if YJ flares would work.

Hahaha - that was my thought, too! He must have heard his name taken in vain.

Thanks, JScherb. I wish Scott, from Dinoot would start selling some fiberglass versions of the flat fender. ;) I might go the round fender route, for now, until I can get the flat ones. I need to get this wrapped up because my trip is coming up next month.
