Tucson- Rice Peak 3-30-2008

Tibaal, I don't think camping is in the cards for me, either.

Shotts, we'd love to have you along. Do whatever it takes to talk her into it. I wanna see ROKLIMO in action!

Jason... confirmed?

We do need to set up a meeting place and time, maybe somewhere in Oracle Junction? I don't know the area too well. Any suggestion would be better than mine.

I'd suggest you meet at Peppersauce Campround. Roklimo in action huh? Not much "action" on Rice. :D

Peppersauce CG it is, then.

I'm not sure what to expect from this trail, but I'm sure it'll be better than the time I saw it sitting in the parking lot of Olive Garden a few months ago.:D

HILARIOUS!

Could we meet at 10 AM and split at 10:15 AM? I can run with you all then have Becky run the Backroad from Peppersauce by ourselves after the run.

10:00 at Peppersauce is good by me! Maybe consider adding this info to the first post...

I suggest we do the "loop" clockwise... that way the Peak itself is towards the end and the epic-ness of it steadily rises. Otherwise the Peak is towards the beginning and that's just sort of anticlimactic! Plus that way climbs the more fun parts as oppse to descending...

Sorry for the last minute post, but I'm not going to be able to make it. I thought I would be back in town for this, but have not yet returned - didn't have internet access until now.

Shotts seems to know the area/route so you guys should be fine.

Have a good time!

All is forgiven, Tibaal. We did wait for you until about noon-thirty before we figured you weren't coming... ;)

It was a fun run anyway, John and his wife are good people. Here's a few pictures from the trail. It was a beautiful day!
