Good info. Started a thread about custom tanks and was linked here from your nephew iirc.

How do those lids vent the tank? I have done plastic welding with an old soldering iron to fix the clips on my door panel but never thought about building a tank that way. Dwfinately opens more options for me. Thanks for posting.

rb, there are built in vents in the lids. They don't leak even when the tank is full and sloshing around in the outback.

BTW, I'm starting a second tank for a friend. This one should go much smoother than the first.

Thanks. Post pics of the tank build if you can. I might be able to go with thinner material as my longest wall is under 20" Also a baffle should help reinforce the wall. Thing is the welders seem to be $$. :Wow1: If you need anymore practice I can send you the measurements I need.
