Crap! Now that you say this I did have this also happen to me! Sorry I didn't remember right off the bat. I was really lucky as I was driving down I-70 and happened to be 10 minutes from Slee's. I in fact lost 3 lower studs on the driver's side.

Did you do any damage to the bearings? Did you have to do a rebuild on your axle on the side the studs were lost?

Any idea when the last rebuild was?

For peace of mind, I'd just rebuild the axle with all new bearings - wheel and trunnion. Or at least have enough on hand to replace them all and just replace as necessary. Then you know everything is fresh and if you do it yourself you know everything is torqued down properly...

Then you can order all the stuff from CDan - his prices are great. I had to make a run to a toyota dealer in SD for one of the bearings and Dan's price for me was cheaper than what the dealer paid for it (supposedly).

Time to go check my nuts. What's the torque spec on em?

Mark, i have to go back and look at the last time it was rebuilt. I have all the service records from way back till new. Yep, was planning to rebuild it to baseline it anyways.
