Order up some Method Double standards for my Birthday!

I'm going back to a 16" rim. Now to find some new rubber. It's either going to be the Duratac's or the BFG AT's. Also looking at running a 265/75/16 to save mpg's....

Real!

No....I wish...Those are $$$ per wheel.

The bolts can be removed. I might paint them to blend in better.

New Shoes!

The Goodyears are a little bigger then the AT's in the 265's.

Overall very happy so far.
  • The truck is a little faster
  • Brakes easier
  • A lot less road noise
  • Wheels are sharp!

I now hear my muffler louder in the the cab. Might have to tune that down (replace or extend tail pipe out the back). Extending the tail pipe is a start.

Though they can be notably smaller (shorter) than 33" options, a 265 tire is really a very practical size and choice for many trucks, particularly if not running lower gears. The all-around performance is often better everywhere (except difficult dirt) and a 265 is the size I often recommend if someone wants to carry a spare in the stock location and not mess with the compromises of running 33s.

Truck looks good with them too, doesn't appear small.

Nice Nic.

Thanks guys!

I'm so far really happy with the new package. Even the wife thinks it drives better. I will be tracking the MPG's for sure....

Thanks guys!

Did you end up with load range C nic? If so, any chance you got a wheel and tire weight figure?

Thanks!

Mike

Wheel is 23 +/- LBS and the tire is 45 LBS....Not too bad.

The 265's really don't like my 4.88 gears on the highway.....70 = 2900 RMP....Not bad but not the best mpg....I was getting between 14.5 to 16.5 on the Highway. Looking at jumping sizes to the 285...
