I put some Rancho 2.5" springs on my 2A years ago and they gave it plenty of room for 31" tires.
I believe your transmission is a T-90A with a 2.73 first gear ratio. If you swap out the gear cluster and main drive gear for gears from a T-90C tranny it will lower your first gear to 3.33. It makes a difference when taking off from a stop. 3rd gear remains the same at 1:1. Go too tall a tire and your third gear won't be able to maintain speed (especially with a small four cylinder engine).
I also strongly recommend a Warn OD. Not only is it an OD beyond third gear, but it is a gear splitter so you can split from first to second, and between second and third (which I find myself using a lot). Lots of time second gear is too low, and third is too high. Same between first and second gear off-road.
