Martinjmpr,
The Geolanders look good!:wings:
I'll be anxious to hear if you can tell any power difference heading to Kremmling with the larger diameter tires compared to the stock size. I drive to Frisco often and am contemplating my next set of tires. Trying to decide if I want to go bigger or not since I drive the mountains so much.:jumping:

Let us know and be careful heading to Kremmling.

Drove to Kremmling last Saturday and couldn't tell any power difference.

While I was up there I stopped at a place I remembered to re-enact an old photo of mine.

Not so sure now about the Maxxis Bighorns being louder than BFG MT after taking a brief drive on my BFG MTs last week. Maybe close to the same volume?

I have yet to test them back to back (but I may in a few weeks) but I think the Maxxis Bighorns are louder than the BFG M/T KM (both in 255/85). The Bighorns did take very little weight to balance and they run nice and smooth down the road.

I have really enjoyed the 235's - having had them on both the Taco the old LR Disco, I really like the height, narrow tread pattern, and the ride. My BFGs look GREAT with over 40K miles on them.

You like the ride? Not too stiff with E-range sidewalls? 40k and lots of tread left, wow those tires will last a long time!

If not 'the ride' as in hard vs. soft do you mean how they balance and run down the road?

Well, so far the Geolanders are kicking *** in the snow.

In March I'll find out how they do on the dirt and slick rock of Utah. :wings:

Speaking of Geolanders, I noticed that the GF's new Suzuki Grand Vitara came with Geolanders, although it's a different pattern from mine. Also on 16" wheels but a much smaller tire.

I put the OME suspension on after I got the 235's and it went a long way to smoothing out the ride. I do not find it too stiff at all, but there has to be a certain amount of "butt adaptation" to it as well. The Levi Red Tag meter gives them the thumbs up!

I got the Taco(traded my beloved Discovery II) to make the trip to Colorado from Alaska. I got it with 7K on the clock and have put 35+K miles on it in less than a year. Needless to say the majority of use is highway and I am picky about pressures and balance. I hope to get about 60K out of these. I have had great luck with BFG's especially when they are taken good care of... They do balance easily and the narrow tread width makes them track nice and smooth - avoiding the ruts and resulting wander. I have not asked, but I bet my steering loves the narrow tread as well, providing less resistance to inputs.

Very good report. 35k of in one year is lots of driving! Being picky about balance and PSI is wise and certainly pays dividends.

Love the Toyo ATs at 235/85-16. They hold up real well- I drive to work on 80 mile gravel road- along with a trip up the AlCan.
I run them @ 35#, with OME suspension, seems to be the perfect combo. They are a bit stiff empty but smooth like butter with weight
