winch question

I would never had guessed an 8274 would bolt right up to any ARB 80/100 Series front bumper. This is what ARB is showing as their Commercial bumper. Please post a photo of your's, if you don't mind, as you've peaked my curiosity :)

The commercial bar is more of a fleet type setup, so it is really designed for non flared applications.

The fit problem will be a big determining factor. I drug a Bronco though all sorts of stupid mud with an XD9000. it was plenty. The high free-spool speed is important to get the wich cought up once you start to un-stick. For mymoney, I'd go with the smaller winch- bigger is NOT always better.

Andy, if you were to choose between M8274-50 and 9500XP, for your personal truck. Assuming they both fit the bumper. Which would you choose? No need to give reasons.

Personally? 9.5xp. More capacity, smaller size, less weight. Then again, as mentioned, I have a Suzuki. :D

However, the M8274-50 is a legend and with good reason. It's fast, it's proven, it's got a lot of rope.

well, MoGas, Sorry to say, Andy prefers the 9500 XP. :)

I've witnessed small winches burn. So I'll always go with the biggest I can afford. The fit problem is a no brainer. If it doesn't fit, then it doesn't fit.

You may have a light weight truck, but there will be times when your small truck will have to winch the others in the group.

I bought an arb bull bar and put a warn powerplant in it. It is also a 9.5. Good winch and compressor. It is possible to get the winch out of the bumper without taking the bumper off then.
