I'm getting rid of my 24valve dodge and have been looking into trading for a --2000 sr5 xtra cab 3.4 L automatic tacoma --with lock in hubs 189,000 miles + 1K to boot. Pricing was hard enough on the Cummins but finding the true value of a Taco is just as hard. Kbb values the taco at 8,000$ he's priced it at 7,600 . Do these truck's really demand that kind of cash?
The Tacoma has been adequately taken care of but i'm sure the owner who is the second owner starting at 45,000miles was not a total maintenance guru ( probably used valvoline ) and didn't replace anything until had 2. Also after putting the truck on a lift showed him where all the grease zurk's he'd been missing.
I guess i'm really just wandering how tough these trucks are. 8,000 seems like a stout price for a truck with a 189,000 miles.
Many thanks for any help you guys got for me! EXPO is the best!
