What happened to the sierra 4x4 thread from yesterday?

Has anybody tried contacting sierra lately? I've been trying for weeks as chris promised me back in March that he would mail me the hinges and ball ends for the gas shocks and yet has done any of that. I've been calling and texting him but he just stopped responding after 3 weeks ago. I just called now and he actually picked up and then hung up. I'm getting really pissed I have been very patient and all I need is my hinges that I paid for

Can some one please tell when what hinges are used for the lids and maybe show a close up? And if you know where to buy them.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm not sure what hinges Sierra uses, but you should be able to get them and the ball ends for the gas struts as well as any other hardware you need from McMaster Carr (www.mcmaster.com). They have a great website with tons of technical information/measurements, etc. to help determine what you need.

They just got a shout out in some magazine I was reading, can't remember which one, so they are probably too busy with all phone calls they are not answering...(sorry my sarcasm comes through some times...)

I have noticed that all the attaboys and what a craftsman and I'm sure he'll come around...just to busy etc. folks have stop posting. He is still doing the same old same old......I'm just really surprised that folks pay him in advance.
Really now! Paying him seems to insure you won't get it....use a Visa for Gods sake!
Oh yes and for those old fans who thinks he walks on water.....This is just my personal opinion and nothing more.

WOW!!! I feel lucky... I called sierra 4x4 late last week and actually spoke to chris. I was going to order a lid for my m416 from him. He said he only had one that was 1/2 the height of a regular one that one of his customer's didn't pick up. He said he would send me an email with pictures. He never did. I always make it a point not to do business with anyone who says they will do something and don't. He had my email from an email that i sent him asking questions. I was only calling for about 2 weeks before i was able to get in touch with anyone there. I'm very glad that I didn't order one from him. I hadn't even searched for reviews or anything about this vendor. I didn't even know this thread existed. From the 12 pages that i've read thus far, I can only conclude one thing... Sierra4x4 trailers sucks as a vendor. There's a reason why certain companies get a lot of bad reviews and certain companies get only a few bad reviews. Every company gets bad reviews as you can't please everyone but if this many bad reviews can be found, one has to make their own conclusions. If it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck it ain't a gorilla.

The impossible happened I received my parts yesterday (well not all) I talked to chris many times to confirm the parts needed which was the end for the gas struts, the seal, and the hinges and hardware he included everything but the enda for the gas struts and considering how it will probably take another 3 months to get those from him, I think I'm just going to try and find them locally.

Anyone have Any idea where I can find the end for gas struts locally, like what kind of store may have them?

Try mcmaster.com. they have a few strut ends to choose from:

I picked up the parts I needed from MSC industrial supply for $36. Now if I want I can file a fraud claim with MasterCard for that money since it was part of the package deal

Read enough of this thread to get the feeling that Chris needs to focus on building trailers. Let someone else whose better at marketing do that part of the equation for him.
