Thanks Hank, I don't know how I like the fridge yet I just took it out of the box last night, the quality seems nice and it has lots of space inside. I'll let every one know how it works.

Hello everyone early this morning between three and 6 am my truck was stolen from in front of my house. I had a flippac on it and a dometic fridge in the back. I was planning on leaving for a 4 month tour of the western United States and British Columbia. If any one sees it can you call me at 619 228 6854 or call the police it is in their system any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ugghh!

I'm saddened to read your last post.

-Reminder to self--start locking the shifter to the brake pedal with hardened chain. I used to do that for a while with several of my vehicles, as well as putting a hardened chain with lock through a visible wheel if I was away from it for a while.

Ugghh!

That's terrible news. I hope that they retrieve it, but in the meantime, start doing some of your own detective work by looking at CL in a wide area (dailylister.com and searchtempest.com) for the smaller items. If it ends up being a total loss, you can point insurance to this website for proof of value and work and items that were in/on it. Once again, I'm sorry to hear of this. Bastards.

DAMN! I just saw this build and was excited to see how everything worked out and I get to the end. I hope they find the sorry bastard that stole your truck and its recovered with minimal damage/loss

There are far to many worthless pukes in this world. Sorry to hear about your truck. I hope you find it in one piece.

Redemption

I have good news for everyone, my truck has been found. My grandfather actually found the truck behind an Albertsons about three miles away. The truck is also in pretty good shape, somehow whom ever stole it didn't break the truck at all no wires pulled out no windows broken, no damage at all to the truck. My stuff on the other hand that I had left inside didn't fair so well, they took my 300 piece tool kit, my tow straps and jumper cables, my brand new smittybuilt air compressor, my camp kitchen and an assortment of other things.
For those of you who have been reading along my trip is still on it has been delayed about two weeks from my original start date and Alaska has been cut from the route, I ended up buying two new bicycles right before I quit my bike shop job and it killed my savings. But we leave this coming Monday or Tuesday depending how all the final preparations go. I also convinced one of my friends to come along as well. I know everyone will be upset that there are no pictures but I have followed two of Evil Daves how to forums and built them on to my truck can you guess which ones they were? I will post photos for everyone tonight.

Fantastic news!!!! I almost mentioned that a lot of times stolen vehicles are recovered not far from where they were stolen.

I had a very busy day working on the truck today, I replace both cv axles, both lower ball joints and both tie rod ends everything in my front end was clanking and spitting grease. I didn't take pictures of it because I was dirty all day and I wouldn't call myself a reliable resource for Toyota suspension and drivetrain work plus I followed my Chiltons book so I didn't do anything new or special. I will be dropping the truck off at firestone tomorrow at 8am for an alignment it should be done no later than 10 then we will load the truck up for our adventure and should be leaving Monday night or Tuesday morning. I will make a new post in the in progress section I guess but I will try to get photos of all the mods I have done to the truck so far.

What I've done but haven't posted yet.
Isolated dual batteries with an rv solenoid switched to my blower motor so i can disconnect when the car is on
Weather tech mats
Scanguage
led lights on and in the camper
Evldaves awning exactly as he posted
some sort of poly helper spring from air lift
cheep cb radio
yakima roof racks with thule sidearm bike trays
(I know I have a flip pac but the racks come off with four clips and stay square with the bike trays mounted we will also carry our corn hole game up there.)
I also went through and replaced all the fluids on the truck

Hey it's dark outside here are a couple of night shots of my sweet led lights

WOW!!! You have one unique story. From the story of your different cars, accidents, tickets, new car to you, it being stolen, you finding it and then going on with your build/plans/adventures as if nothing happened.

Keep up the great write-up. Have fun and be safe out there.
