Hi again
Someone asked about the China knockoff for the mutual 3. Sorry I've haven't had the chance to see all the new postings.
My take, is you get what you pay for. I am absolutely positive the US has a few of its own requirements on trucks here.
Using a knockoff system made outside the country may not cover the full spectrum to support the fuso programming.
Even the US supplied diagnostic is not without its quirks. It's definitely a risk getting one of those.

Note, to the best of my knowledge no other scanning tools available currently can do more than just basic functions on the fuso. A good example as I now know very well is to do a " forced regen "

Cheers lehel

Oh, OK. I asked mog for his vehicle ECU details so I can advise if we can do this make. Just thought to keep thread on topic

Since the Fuso has a drive-by-wire throttle system, I take it; it's the throttle the ECU controls during limp mode which restricts the vehicles speed?

Not sure. In my 2007 Fuso it appears to just lower the rev limit when it goes into limp mode. Instead of redlining at 3000 rpm it won't let me go over 2000.

I'm sure it acts like other systems, and just limits fuel volume (i.e. a rev/power limit).

Better than the system that (was) on my truck. DPF or sensor fails, truck stops moving.

Whats causing your '07 to go into limp mode often enough to warrant needing the code reader on hand. I was thinking of getting a fg140, but I am not impressed with all the reliability/limp modes I'm seeing on this forum.
