I'm personally a huge fan. Definitely will be picking up a set for my JKUR if they release them!

Awesome. They will be priced the same as the others I would figure. I like them a lot. They will be much stronger than the pintlers too because of their design.

As for the tire size, they are 37X12.50R17. I guess AEV has an in with BFG because normal humans can't get that tire right now. Nice lookin' wheels...but I still think I'd choose my Savegres again.

Those pictures are actually at the BFG tent.

Maybe this new wheel is stronger and NOT made in China.

Dave H from AEV has addressed the "made in China" part before.
He strives to have everything AEV made in the USA, and if I remember correctly, the wheels are currently the only thing that are not.

He tried as hard as he could to have them made in the USA, and the plain fact is that it's not possible.
Everyone outsourced to China and so the tooling and skills no longer exist in the USA. He's hoping to change that in the coming years is what he said.

I was just on the BFGoodrich website....they got prices listed for them. Maybe that mean they're getting ready to release them. Looked at the price for 35x12.50xr17...360 a pop, OUCH! But could be worth the money, I now I've been contemplating them. Lol

The issue with Hutchinson wheels is they weigh a ton.

That is why I went AEV, but maybe they are too light weight for hardcore off road use....I probably could get away with the Hutchison/Rock Monster wheels on my WK CRD, but lesser torque vehicles may see a mpg/performance drop with them.

The Hutchinson wheel is 55 pounds, but they do look awesome

My AEV Pintler and GY Duratrac 265/70/17 C together weigh 67 pounds.....that is why I like the Pintler. Hutchinson with the Duratrac would add an additional 160 pounds to the overall weight of my WK...
