What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Did emergency repairs before heading out for a long trip. It was two seized calipers and then while bleeding the brakes another broke so I replaced that. Looking back I should have did the last one. Oh well. All is good now.

Recevied my rear flood light to mount on top of the 3rd brake light for camping. I have to install a few lights now, so I have a busy week ahead of me.

Lubed all my grease fittings. All new steering goes on Monday and a trans cooler.

Switched out my rock krawler 2.5 inch springs for ome260s. Wow what a difference. Omes ride better, handle the weight better and have left the jeep level. This with a full width rear bumper swing out with hi lift, 5 gallons of gas plus a full tool kit and recovery gear inside. Got tired of the rear lean when loaded down. Think that will be a thing of the past.

I did something similar. I swapped my Rancho 2" front spring and 3/4 inch spacer for a set of OME 2619 front springs yesterday and kept the spacer in. Today I added a 3/4 inch spacer to my rear OME 2618 springs. My Jeep sits a little tail high, but I have the soft top on for the summer and just the spare with no recovery gear.. It'll squat a bit more and look right when I put the hard top back on and throw the recovery gear in.

I really like these OME springs.

Rubicon Express 2.5" lift yesterday, monotube shocks, their control arm drop brackets, Teraflex adjustable front trackbar.
With 33,000+ miles my shocks were done.
Now my trailer will finally sit level.

I'd be interested in your feedback after some time behind the wheel, Bill. Thought long and hard about doing that as well, but chickened out at last minute. Still waiting to get to that 30k mileage point myself...

bought a set of ARB clones in 160w. Also, bought the parts to make my tailgate table. 12x24" shelf, a piano hinge and all I need now is some cable to make the stays.

I've put about 400 miles on it so far but only 20 of them offroad.
It's REALLY REALLY better on the road. Holy crap were my shocks bad. I had one that must've been totally gone and was flapping around in the tube.
Offroad it's the same as before only taller. I didn't add quick-discos or anything.

Installed my table. works great, but the lid hinges I use are of poor quality and I am going to replace with said cable soon.

I just got back from 3 days 300+ miles off pavement in the North Maine Woods. I am here to say that all of the added equipment on my WK was worth the effort and worked well.






Not too shabby for an 8. Year old Jeep that turned 194,000 miles on the trip.
