I want to trade: 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80
Located in Morristown, Tn ( 37814 / about 35 miles N/E of Knoxville, TN )
Looking for an equally built 100 Series Land Cruiser. I would really like one with lockers, even if it's just a rear locker in a 98 or 99. If yours has ARB air lockers, that would be even better.
My FZJ80 is a 1993, front, rear, and center diff locks, 178,000 miles, PHH done, new radiator, front axles done, all new hoses and belts, front main seal, oil pump cover O ring, distributor O ring, cats removed, tune up with all OEM parts, this has all been done in the last few month. OME 2.5 lift with heavies up front and med in the rear, I have a brand new set of heavies in the box for the rear and will install, 5 new General Grabber AT2 315/75R16, 5 TRD simulator beadlocks, snorkel, ARB front bull bar with Badlands 12,000 lb winch, custom sliders, rear bar with dual swing outs ( box will hold 3 Jerry Cans ), full roof rack, leather in good shape for the age with manual front seats, CB, Pioneer double din, and lots more. I bought this rig bone stock in May 2015 and everything has been done since then. A small spot of rust under the drivers side rear rocker, frame and everything else is solid. At this point I do not want to sell, I want a 100 series to trade for. If your rig isn't built and you're interested, shoot me a message and we'll talk. I would need enough boot to add lift, tires, armor, and lockers if needed. I'm located in east Tennesee ( 35 miles N/E of Knoxville ) and I would be willing to drive a few hours to meet.
My 80 runs great and will cruise down the interstate at 75 and 80 with no problem. I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains so there's a lot of hills. If I don't trade, I will re-gear to 4.56 or 4.88 but it's not that bad. If I lived in the flat lands, I wouldn't even consider re-gearing. The valve cover gasket is leaking a little and I have one, just not got to it. I had planned on pulling the fuel injectors and sending them off to be rebuilt and was going to do the VC gasket at that time, this is the last thing to do and I just haven't gotten to it. The HG has not been done but I see no reason to do it, it runs cool with no signs of problems. One of my friends bought his 1995 80 new and it has over 400,000 miles on the original HG and PHH so they don't all go bad. All mods, tires, and maintenance items have maybe 1000 miles on them.
I know this isn't a big deal to a lot of people but my cruiser will fit in a standard garage with a 9' wide x 7' high door. When I had the roof rack built, I had to take it back to change the gutter mount so it would fit in my garage. It clears by about an inch with a garage door opener but it does fit. I drive the 80 one or two days a week and didn't want it setting out in the weather.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM and I will get back to you ASAP.
The only other thing I might trade for is a 2005 or newer Tacoma 4 door, TRD Off Road, 4x4. We can talk about trade difference, I know depending on mods, I would have to come up with some extra cash.
You can see where the temp and oil pressure stays at after it's warm. I probably drove 20 miles before I took this pic
