FOR SALE: 2006 Mitsubishi Montero Limited

Location: Mesa, Arizona

Reason for selling: I'm selling because circumstance forces me to now daily it, and this car isn't economically feasible so I'm looking to sell this car and get some that's better on gas. I've owned the car since this February and put in all the work to get it where it's at from stock.

Description: It has a clean title with no accidents with the odometer reading at 201xxx miles. Cylinder heads were rebuilt by the previous owner, the engine has no driveability issues and runs smooth.

Upgrades & maintenance:

Engine:
-Upstream & downstream Denso o2 sensors

Trans:
-Transmission flush with genuine Mitsubishi ATF
-New transmission mount & transmission cross member bushings

Suspension:
-KYB struts
-OME EMU medium duty springs 1.5" lift
-Moog front strut tower/ rear strut mount bushings
-Moog upper and lower front ball joints
-CV axles

Wheels & tires:
-SCS SR8 16X8 et -12 (21lbs)
-Toyo Tires Open Country AT3 265/75r16
-hubcentric rings

Misc:
-Cali raised ditch lights w/ Luso Overland ditch light brackets
-Prowlr 9" LED driving lights (USA made)
-Kenwood touchscreen headunit w/ Android auto & Apple Car Play
-WELL window visors
-Molle trunk panels
-Trunk mounted emergency fire extinguisher

Price: $5,500

Known Problems:

-CV axles need to be replaced with OEM or better quality than the ones equipped on the car. There's a subtle vibration above 45mph when in 4x4.

-The body has dents , scratches, dings, and other imperfections.

Are the CV boots torn? If so Mitsu sells reboot kits with grease
No, they're brand new. I ditched the OEM axles because they were clicking. Slapped the new ones on and now there's a vibration. This thread talks about it.


OP solves his issue by going back to OEM axles in post #30

If you still have your OEM axles you could send em to CVJ axles to rebuild em -

Had a 2001 for some time and liked the rig a lot. Took the family to Canada and back to Flagstaff once, and had a ton of other adventures in it. Seriously overbuilt from the factory w their CV sizes and the 3.8L is better power than the 3.5L in earlier models. GLWS
