Hardsider wedge camper out of Ohio

It is physically removeable, I just think know they must have abandoned the idea of having a flat topper for it because all of my wiring goes between both sections with no quick disconnects or anything.

Correct.

They made it “removable” if you undo the wiring yourself and don’t mind an open roof; as they’ve never finished engineering the top they took my deposit on last July.

So like @sonnystile mentioned, it does appear that Hardsider made some kind of agreement with Storyteller Overland. Wonder if they officially got absorbed by them? You can see the Sprinter van rooftop tents here as part of their 2025 Crew Mode XL model:

What I found interesting is that they're calling it the LunarLoft and it is trademarked! It even says that it is powered, which I'm assuming to mean powered opening and closing which is what Hardsider was working on before they went MIA.

I keep getting new members in the Scammed by Hardsider Facebook group.

People that ordered, vendors and suppliers that provided materials and services, previous employees, and even business partners.

Meanwhile, they still don’t answer my calls for the refund they promised me on 12/31.

I have been following these posts, as I too put down a deposit over a year ago. I am going through the same issues with Hardsider - their M.O. has not changed. I have however initiated a fraud complaint with the Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost about 3 months back. They (Heather Crawford) have confirmed to me that their office has initiated an investigation of this company. I am supposed to let them know if I hear any communication from Hardsider in the meantime. I did relay to them that it seems many other people are in the same situation as I am. It might be worthwhile for you others to contact the Ohio Attorney General's office Consumer Protection Section and file a fraud complaint. You will need to upload or scan all of your documentation into your complaint form - such as receipts and relevant past email communication with Hardsider - but it is worth the effort. You will hear back from them. All of this can be accomplished on-line.

Additional complaints may help the effort - especially since an investigation case has already been opened.

Nice work!

Sorry to hear about yet another victim.

I’ll look into that as well.

Thank you.
