i am trying to see if any portal members have used or own this interactive pad. i currently have a The Intuos3 12x12 and it does pretty good....i was musing last month to one of phoenix's first fridays and came upon a gallery where a artist was using the cintiq- i was pretty wowed by how he was using the pad as it was interactive....any ideas or suggestions would help!

I'm not sure of the model number because I dont have it in front of me, but my brother owns one of the pads and I find it confusing as all hell to work on as your hand is moving but your eyes are watching the screen.

I'd love to work on one of the models that allows you to draw right on the screen that shows the image.

I found the pens touch sensivity to be surprisingly like real life drawing.

Have you seen the new laptop that has it built right into the screen? That's my next model I'm saving up for!

no, it works perfectly. it really is seamless and the only thing that will slow it down is a poor graphics card.

If you're using cs4, i assume you have a intel mac or decent pc so it will be fine.

make use of the custom quick key buttons, they are the best time savers. I also prefer the softer black tips. More common is the white tips but they scratch the screen much easier.
keep the screen clean- wipe often w/ using and keep it clean. scratches result from dust under the pen scraping at the screen.
