Welcome to the Portal :)

I have done the Nevada Trophy 4 or 5 times. First with our Defender 90 then with a 4x4 Pinzgauer. It's a great event and alot of fun. It's not too gnarly and there is really no reason for body damage.

I think I may have talked to you along Rock Blvd. one day.

Thanks.. I broke my arm on my dirt bike in April and couldn't do any off roading in my truck (no power steering). Then I lost your #. But now all is good to go. We might sign up and do the Trophy this year.

Does anyone know why there are no passengers? My dad wants to do this and if I'd go I'd have to have my 5 year old son tag along.

It started with a guy selling adventure tours in his truck and using the Trophy as the tour. Then guys were bringing 2 extra people to help search for way points which gave them an advantage. Next someone hurt themselves helping the team so Mike got rid of passengers.

Did somebody say they are looking for a friend?

JC-

I am attempting to put together a team out of Boise, but if I cannot get anybody to ride along I may be interested in navigating for you. I am more of a point and shoot are we lost yet type desert explorer, but can use a GPS when needed (great resume huh?). I will post back up if nobody I know wants to ride along with me.

I received an email from one of the organizers this evening. They are looking for ONE more car to compete. The email was very short, just asking if I knew anybody who might want to participate.

This is obviously very short notice, and I'm assuming they must have had a cancelation or an uneven number of cars signed up (each team needs to be two cars, with a driver and navigator/co-pilot in each car).

Yep, you immediately came to mind. I thought if you could convince LowCrawlin' to join you - but knowing you are just about to start a big trip it wasn’t in the cards.

Maybe next year, we'll see how much fun we have this year :wings:

If I hadn't already had a plan...

Where does one find out about next years event? This sounds soooo good not to do it. We want to do it. Have subscribed.
