Thanks Sergio for stopping in and also for taking on these projects.

Can you tell me, will you be working on a high-mount version with open back for a DII? This would be my perfect solution as it would still allow sunroof operation and allow for RTT usage without having to modify an SD rack.

Thanks Again,
Rod

Thank you Lance and Paul for the kind words.
Rod in regards to your question this week we are completing the first DII Low Profile and next week we will start on the high-mount version.
Will keep you posted on the development.

Cheers

For now you have to use Yakima low rider towers with 2 round cross bars to support your bike rack.
We are also working on a mounting system for bicycles and Kayaks.

Hi Sergio,

Any update on the new DII high-mount version? Thanks again and looking forward to what you guys come up with.

Rod_SATX, we are just completing the low profile version of the DII and then will move to the high-mount version, I would say we are 30 days away from the first prototype.

Cheers

Attached are some pictures of BajaRack's low-profile D2 rack installed on my red Disco2. The fit and finish was excellent, the mounting brackets lined up perfectly in the gutter channel and backed with a thin layer of foam to prevent scratches. The rack is light, weighs about 70 lbs yet is strong enough for me to walk on.

I´d definitely be interested in one if I knew how much it cost.

Its hard to justify an SD rack anymore with how old they´re getting, especially in the midwest with salt causing rust. This looks like a good option.

Just here...
Thats great. Not even Baja shows it on their site so I had no idea. Im assuming that since its a low rack, sunroof use is out of the question?

BajaRack makes both a high and low version. The high version is designed top work with sunroofs.
