VW California Van... not in NA

I like it.

Only thing missing is the personality of the original. Why is it that no new vehicles seem to have personality like the past generations. I think the 80's was the death of personality in cars...

And as always, if we don't line up for Chrysler mini vans re-badged with lots of DVD screens and backup alert beepers, then like Alfa, Fiat, Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, etc, the problem is really ours and not theirs. If we didn't take to removing a hand from the wheel to depress a turn signal stalk to toot the horn then it was us who were uncultured. Why no TDI in the Tiguan when it's right there in the Jetta beside it in the showroom? It goes on and on.

I'd buy this camper in a diesel Syncro version in a second - and I've purchased two new VW's in my life (Scirocco and GTI). Don't even get me started on the LR Defender I can't buy.

I like this thing! Again, we may never get it because I don't see a lot of info about it, but some 4wd vans sure would be cool!

Or

I wonder if this is just an early concept design of the California.
