A/C problem??

My A/C seems to 'cycle' it gets nice and cold like it should then it feels like it turns off for a few minutes,is this normal in a taco? My fj just stayed frosty. I really don't want to wait until it gets hotttt here before addressing this.

I never really noticed it on mine until you brought it up, but I think I can remember mine doing that a little while driving around town. It wouldn't blow warm or anything, just not as cold every now and then. It definitely does not do it on the hwy though.

It sounds like the same thing, I'll try it on the freeway today to see if it does it, it will be near 90 today so if I have a problem now I'll have it looked at before the summer heat.

It's a '06. Like I said it does blow ice cold but turns off. I'd say it lasts about 2 minutes then cold again.

I'll be on the freeway for about 1 1/2 hrs today so we'll see what happens.

Why did you ask the year? Is this common with certain years?

04 and previous have completely different HVAC systems.
