The truck is located in Glendo, WY, and is priced at $1250.
I bought this with the idea of converting into a more refined expedition camper than the 300GD and M43 that preceded it, but my plan involved swapping its chassis with that of an 89-93 Cummins single cab and that proved more than my motivation could bear.
I have had it in some rather remote places near Moab, and in the mountains of Colorado & Wyoming and it worked great: four-wheel well into the backcountry and sleep it off on the queen-size bed in the back.
I had intended to install the stove and fridge from a Westphalia, a propane heater, air system, etc., but so it goes...
This truck had 13K indicated on it when I bought it in '97, and I believe that mileage to be correct due to light pedal wear, original tires, and the fact that these trucks weren't used very much. Consequently, it runs really well and handles predictably, and has never failed to start in the coldest weather. The transmission failed 30 miles after I bought it, and the original transfer case developed a rear output shaft seal leak I could not cure, so that is the reason for the rebuilds.
The truck drives with the addition of some ATF, and I have the title. Thank you for looking.
Addendum: I just previewed this post, and apparently none of my photos are going to be visible. I embedded them from Smugmug in the manner I've used successfully before and I have no idea how to rectify the problem, so I'm going to submit this post anyway. If someone has some insights on this, I'd appreciate it, and if someone is interested in the truck anyway, I will get photos to you if I have to tie them to a pigeon.
Thanks again for looking.
