The truck is located in Glendo, WY, and is priced at $1250.

I bought this with the idea of converting into a more refined expedition camper than the 300GD and M43 that preceded it, but my plan involved swapping its chassis with that of an 89-93 Cummins single cab and that proved more than my motivation could bear.

I have had it in some rather remote places near Moab, and in the mountains of Colorado & Wyoming and it worked great: four-wheel well into the backcountry and sleep it off on the queen-size bed in the back.

I had intended to install the stove and fridge from a Westphalia, a propane heater, air system, etc., but so it goes...

This truck had 13K indicated on it when I bought it in '97, and I believe that mileage to be correct due to light pedal wear, original tires, and the fact that these trucks weren't used very much. Consequently, it runs really well and handles predictably, and has never failed to start in the coldest weather. The transmission failed 30 miles after I bought it, and the original transfer case developed a rear output shaft seal leak I could not cure, so that is the reason for the rebuilds.

The truck drives with the addition of some ATF, and I have the title. Thank you for looking.

Addendum: I just previewed this post, and apparently none of my photos are going to be visible. I embedded them from Smugmug in the manner I've used successfully before and I have no idea how to rectify the problem, so I'm going to submit this post anyway. If someone has some insights on this, I'd appreciate it, and if someone is interested in the truck anyway, I will get photos to you if I have to tie them to a pigeon.

Thanks again for looking.

Saw that in Glendo this summer while I was there canoeing the North Platte River. Wondered if it belonged to anyone on here.

It can belong to you! I have to close on a house with a smaller driveway and no fridge. Let's talk.

Please? Someone??

It occurs to me now that I can actually see those photos that I didn't post one of the passenger's side, so since I don't feel like I have a realistic hope of remedying this any other way, I'll describe: it does have a dent at the front of that side which can be remedied by replacing the fender. I did in fact buy a take-off some years ago, but when I moved out of the ex's house some hard choices had to be made & it was discarded. As above, if pix are desired I can send some by email, snail mail, or something.

You pasted in the "link" code from smugmug, but you wanted the actual URL to the image.

Umm... this one goes to eleven.

Seriously, thanks for the info.

What does it mean? What should I do to post additional pix?

Thanks for your (and everyone else's) patience, but I've never played well with computers.

Still available-- reduced to $1000 from 12/17 to 12/23 while I'm home from work.

C'mon, help a brother buy windows for his new old house!

Had the same, want another...

Good morning... I owned and enjoyed the same model vehicle for five years. Only addition I did was a Dodge power steering box. Made a giant difference.

Few photos of mine:

Flat roof was perfect for carrying kayaks and canoes. Also great observation deck at the 24 Hour Sebring races

The stock body made a very nice one or two person camper.

I used to tow our 27' Airstream all the time. The 318 had no problems...

Here are the questions: If I flew in and spent a couple days tweaking and changing fluids, could I drive it to Fort Myers from Lander?

If I sent you a cashier's check, how long could it stay in Lander? I am not sure how son I could come to pick it up.

Thanks...

I don't think it would need anything but an oil change, which I could do for you. I could also tighten up that trans pan. The axles, trans, and transfer case all have about 30K on their fluids, with the transfer running 10-30 synthetic.

I can't see a problem with driving it that far other than the size of the fuel budget which I'm sure you're already familiar with. The tires will make it, the heater works well, and last I checked so did the stereo. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you sent me a check, I could store the truck until the end of January, and maybe longer if I could get away with parking on the street with stale tags.

Thanks for the pix and the interest!

Chris

P.S. - I'm in Glendo, by the way, which is about 5 hrs closer to Ft. Myers.
